Wow what a hot weekend in Danville IN for a MCA National Show, temps in the lower 90’s with extremely high humidity. The Mustang Club of Indianapolis hosted the Race To Indy MCA show on July 27-30th at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds in Danville.
Thursday the 27th was track day at Putnam Park Road Course. Several members went to participate and watch. Brandon was the only brave one to get his Shelby out there and race against some pretty fast cars; he got up to 140 on the track. After the morning sessions were over they allowed non racers to take parade laps on the course. But going 90 is hardly a parade lap, just saying, but it was fun. Some members braved the heat and went to the Indiana State Fair for the afternoon.
Friday we went to check in at the show and stayed most of the day there. At the end of the day we went to The Coachman’s for dinner before retiring to our hotels.
Saturday was the main show with over 400 Mustangs. After the show some left to go home stopping in Seymour for dinner at Applebee’s, Kamos stayed in Danville and went to Dallara Indycar Factory for dinner.
Sunday was awards day. Kamos was the only one from the club who stayed for this event.
