As usual August is Mustang month at the Somernites cruise-in in Somerset KY we had 20 Mustangs travel down to celebrate and to try and break the World Record for the longest Mustang Parade although they were short a few Mustangs they still had an impressive turnout.
A group of 17 traveled down Friday morning, traveling the back roads all the way. Stopping in Liberty KY for lunch at the Bread of Life Amish restaurant. After lunch we were back on the road heading to Somerset. We got there around 1pm, checked into the hotel and then back out to drive the Rattlesnake.
The other 3 staggered in later Friday and Saturday morning
Saturday morning it was up at daybreak to get in line for the cruise-in. They started to let us in at 10:30 because the car line was getting so long it was on the highway. After te cruise-in they lined everyone up the longest Mustang parade which started around 5pm and lasted way into the night. As usual we sat out by the road and watched all the cruising, burnouts and drag racing and boy was there a lot of it.
Saturday morning we headed home, some of the group stopped at Chili’s in Bardstown KY for a quick lunch.
