Sunday Nov 8th was the 10th Annual Before the Snow Flies Car Show in Paoli IN at the ski resort. We had 8 cars attending. It was another great day for a show in Nov. Most everyone rode the chair lift which was a nice view of the slopes. Jenny Frisbee was the only award winner for the day with her 1964 1/2 Mustang.

Nov 7th we went to the Bucket's Car Show in Jeffersonville IN. Great weather for this time of year. The were 124 cars entered. This best show they have ever had, before the max was 65 cars. When they seen how many cars were there they send out and had more awards made so everone could receive one. They had some awesome raffle baskets, Mike R. won two and Larry M. won one. This is a good cause all the money went to the Shop with a Cop.

Oct 10th we held our Cancer Car Show at the Quartermaster Station in Jeffersonville. We had a good turnout for the show and everyone really liked the new location. Thanks to all of our members for working the show and to all the participants who helped raise money for such a good cause.

Sunday Oct 4th we traveled to Scottsburg IN to the We Care Show and Shine Car Show. Lots of great door prizes, Mike Purlee was the lucky member from our club at this show, he won the cash give away, winning $250.00. We had 9 cars from our club This show all the money goes to buy coats and shoes for the kids in Scott County.

Saturday Oct 3rd we went to the Bill Collins Car Show in Louisville KY. They had a good turnout out for the show, our club brought 16 cars.

Sept 26th we went to Owensboro KY for the Crazy Horse Pony Round-up Car Show, we had 10 cars from the club there. The rain held out to the very end. Steve and Brenda came in second in the cornhole tournament.

Silver trophy winners: Norm and Jeanette Skees, Tony Skees, Nate Burgan

Sept 19th we traveled to Vevay Indiana for the On the River Car Show. 264 cars took part in the show with 11 cars being from FCMC. We won the Club Paricipation Award. Lots of great music and food. Larry Rixman was the lucky one on this trip, he won the prize for his guess of 337 dice in a jar which actually held 333, good guess Larry. He also won one of the $100.00 drawings. He bought everyone appetitizers for dinner when we stopped at Moes Steak House to eat.

What a great weekend to spend at the General Butler State Park in Carrollton Ky. attending the DCMC car show.We started off the weekend with the Pony Trail which took us thru some of Kentucky beautiful backroads, then to a road course track for a few laps. We then went to a winery for lunh before heading back to the park. Friday night we went to the Welcome Bash which was decorated in their Monster Bash theme. Next morning we got up and went to the show, cleaned up our cars from the Pony Trails. Brenda and Nancy P. won the scavenger hunt. Saturday after the show most of us went over the the Rixman's cabin for a great meal. (Thanks very much Larry and Susan) Some played cornhole while others visited with each other. The awards were on Sunday. Our club did really well, we had 22 cars plus some who came but did not show their cars.

Thanks Derby City Mustang Club for such a great show, we look forward to next year.

Aug. 22nd the Saleen Midwest Regionals were held at Rocky's Italian Grill in Jeffersonville IN. We had 5 cars from our club attending, Steve Merritt, Larry Mayfield, Tony Skees, Garry Bushau and Jonathan Hunt, Norm Skees, John Howard, Joe and Bev Thornsbury, Charlie and Sandy Smith.
Falls City Mustang Club won 2-1st and 1-3rd place trophies

On Saturday August 15th we traveled to Louisville to the Masonic Homes for the Midwest Cougar and All Ford Show. We had 18 cars from the club. Several won trophies.
Winners in the Top 30 were Steve and Nancy Merritt, Mike Crosby, John Stingel, Alan Brewer, Charles Reinhardt, Dave Boling, Garry and Pam Bushau, Frank and Therese' Hayden, Larry and Susan Rixman, Mike and Nancy Purlee.
Mike and Vanessa Rains won the 71-95 Best of Class
Jonathan and Debbie Hunt won the 05 and Newer Best of Class
Also attending were Debbie Carden, Wendall Roark, Tony and Norm Skees, Marty and Brenda Clegg, Larry Mayfield, Shelby Stingel, Bill and Pat Gibson, Nate Burgin, Ed Lynch, Charles and Anne Weimer.

Saturday August 8th Ten cars went to Madison Indiana to th Hot August Cruise-in car show. Held on the Historic Main Street with over 100 cars. Our club came home with 3 trophies, Larry Mayfield, Jonathan and Debbie Hunt, Marty and Brenda Clegg.
Also attending were Steve and Nancy Merritt, Bill and Pat Gibson, Mike and Nancy Purlee, Dan Watson and daughter Savanah, Phil Schieber, Charlie Reinhardt and Warren Toney


July 11 2009, Larry and Susan Rixman traveled to Dublin OH for the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Fox-body Mustang. It was hosted by the Arthritis Foundation. This celebration was also the First Ever Fox-body Reunion
Susan & Larry Rixman attended the show in Dublin and spent most of the day waiting for the rain to stop.
In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Fox-body Mustang, the Arthritis Foundation featured a Fox-body Mustang Reunion. Larry’s 1985 SVO was one of six other SVOs and over 70 Fox-body Mustangs in attendance.
The rain eased up a couple of times with everyone trying to dry the cars off between showers. The judging finally started around 2:00 PM with Larry wiping rain off the car while they were judging!

Sunday June 12th a group went to Rising Sun Indiana to the Show Your Pride Car Show. It was put on by the Rising Sun High School Band. Great location by the river. There were 416 vehicles registered. We had 9 cars from our club, 7 bringing home trophies. All of our cars were in the same class. It was a very nice car show, some people walked to the riverboat casino, Grand Victoria, for a little enjoyment and to get out of the heat. We had a couple of winners there also (Larry and Nancy). After the show we went to eat at the Casino in their sandwich shop.
Trophy winners of class 6 which was 2000-2009 were: Dave and Patsy Boling, Steve and Nancy Merritt, Mike and Nancy Purlee, Marty and Brenda Clegg, Larry Mayfield, Michael Burch (his first trophy, congratulations Michael)
And Best of Class went to Mike and Linda Crosby winning a 12 foot trophy according to Mike, but it really was just 4 foot. Congratulations Mike and Linda it was well deserved.
Also attending were Tony Skees, Norm and Jeanette Skees

On Friday July 3rd Dave and Patsy Boling along with Mike and Linda Crosby traveled to Raleigh NC to the American Stampede National Show. It was held at the NC State Fairgrounds.
Dave and Patsy won 1st place in Specialty Driven for their 2007 Shelby while Mike and Linda won a Gold in Concours Driven for their 1964 1/2 Coupe

On Sunday June 28th we traveled to Cincinnati Ohio to the Queen City Mustang and All Ford Show. We had a good time, some played cornhole and some did the cake walk. We had 7 cars from our club there, all came home with an award.

Saturday June 27th a group went to the Backyard Classics Car Show in Charlestown Indiana, which was held around the town square, a very nice location. Charlestown was also celebrating Founders Day. We had 10 cars attending. After the show we went to the Pizza Hut for dinner.
Over 120 cars were there with the Top 50 winning awards, our winners were

Saturday June 16th a group went to the Sams Car Show in Clarksville Indiana. Our club won the Club Participation Trophy. Three cars won trophies.
Trophy winners were Steve Merritt, Mike Rains and Larry Mayfield won best Mustang. Congratulations guys

On Saturday June 13th we went to the Shop with a Cop Car Show at the Joe Huber Family Farms in Starlight Indiana we had 16 cars from our club. Over 300 cars with top 100 taking home trophies
Trophy winners were Steve Merritt, Nancy Merritt, Larry Mayfield, Marty and Brenda Clegg, Mike and Nancy Purlee, Norm and Jeanette Skees, Mike Rains, Tony Skees, Jonathan and Debbie Hunt, Phil Schieber, Mike and Linda Crosby.

Falls City Mustang Club held it's annual Pony Drive and Car Show June 19 and 20. We started off the weekend with our Pony Drive, thanks to Mike and Nancy Purlee for doing such a great job arranging our drive thru the countryside and to the Salem Square, we took a new route this year and it was great. When we got to Salem everyone went to eat and then we assembled to have the Mayor give out his award to Charlie and Sandy Smith. Then we herded up the cars and headed for the Salem Speedway for some laps around this Historic track after everyone had their fun on the track and pictures taken we headed back to Jeffersonville for our Welcome Bash at Tubby's Pizza and for our Cruise-in.
On Saturday we had a great show despite the hot weather, we had nearly 90 cars in the show. Everything went smooth. Mustang Club of Indy won the Club Participation Award with 12 cars, Queen City Mustangers and Derby City Mustang Club came in second with 11 cars each. Thanks to all the car clubs for coming to our show and supporting our club.
A SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT TO ALL THE CLUB MEMBERS WHO WORKED THE SHOW AND MADE IT SUCH A SUCCESS.

Falls City Mustang Club was well represented at the Race to Indy MCA National Show. We had 16 cars from our club. Most of us started out at thier Pig Roast on Friday evening it was very good. Then Saturday we went to the show, we had drag racing to watch all day and several vendors to to visit. Sunday was awards day we had several cars to win. After the awards we left for home stopping at the Cheeseburger Paradise for a bit ro eat.

Saturday April 25th 2009 21 Cars went to Frankfort for the Pony Car Round-up. Our club won the Club Participation Award and Mike and Nancy Purlee won the Longest Distance Traveled Award.

On Saturday May 30 we went to the Men's Health Fair and Car Show held at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville IN. A lot of people took advantage of the free health screenings. We had 5 cars that won trophies: Larry Mayfield, Tony Skees, Jonathan Hunt, Phil and Rose Ann Schieber, Marty and Brenda Clegg

Several cars from our club traveled to Brimingham AL to the Barber Motorsports Park for the 45th Mustang Birthday Celebration. It was quite an experience seeing all those Mustangs in one place. There was racing and drifting all weekend to watch. Lots of vendors to browse through and some had some work done on their cars, Jonathan had cold air intake put on his and Mike had a light bar put in his car.
